Luke Skywalker & me,  this a.m. (7:15)

Bright & early this morning,  after reluctantly crawling out of bed,  I took a shower to loosen the kinks, up and down my spine,  then I selected my cool clothes for the day ( shorts & tank top),   I made a fresh pot of java.   Sometimes I love the aroma so much I just stick my nose in the container and take a whiff.  ...:)   Soon,  the signal was a "go" from my freshly brewed pot of coffee,  and I poured a cup,  added honey,  always,  I use "honey" for practically everything  ( honey is a natural antibiotic), and for extra flavor I add a peppermint.   I just discovered this little treat.  It's s-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- good !


This  sizzling hot weather here in Ojai,  has left the orange trees looking a little wilted and thirsty,
so  I watered some before I took my "usual" walk down Rice.  The horse stables are on my way on
Meyer Road.  Stopped for a bit to see my friends there,  Vicki,  Red,  Darth Vadar,  and the horse you see above in this picture with me is Luke Skywalker.   I named then myself.   Horses are sensitive,  I've discovered.  On certain days,  they can't be cozy enough and dearly love petting,  other days,  they practically run from you.   Sounds a little like people,  huh?

I have always felt that this picture should be published in some magazine,  it's just so .......

I checked my photos this morning & found this interesting one that I took yesterday shopping at the local market.  

I just "love" having my camera ready at moments like these.  Both of us had visited the shop called " Attitude Adjustment ". .....:)

Hey everyone,  it's "yard sale" time & my favorite past time !

This Saturday,  August 1, 2015,  I will conduct my 2nd "yard sale" here in Ojai, CA.  The first was over three years ago.  However, In Glendale CA,  ( my former place of residence) I was a "yard sale guru"......................................:)  It was "loads" of FUN & I enjoyed enough profit to keep up my habit of "shopping" !!    Much of my time here in Ojai, Ca since May 2015 has been spent on other things.  Tree trimming,  raking leaves,  laying bricks,  "planting" ( mostly succulents-very little water in CA ),  , walking up-the-hill,  visiting the stables along the way and my friend Vicki my buddy Red....pic below

In fact,  Vicki & her blue truck made a run with me to put up signs for my "YARD SALE".  Vicki and I were out & about as folks were coming home from their work places.  As we were putting up signs ( incidentally,  if you look closely, I made signs out of pillow-cases), now don't scoff,  they are perfect.  No running around looking for cardboard,  cutting them up,  or what have you).
Think I might have just started a trend.........................................:)  The "thrift stores have oodles of  pillow cases for cheap.   I had extra yard sticks and so I put one -half of one on top.
the other on the bottom  ,  making a secure way to hang/hammer them into telephone polls. " see pic.....

Finding alternatives is my forte',  I love being creative

  
 
 I make custom jewelry which includes earrings,  necklaces ( a creation of mine is a gorgeous pendant front & a back of a pretty watch combo.  The ladies are smitten by them and in Glendale they caught on with many as gifts for loved ones and themselves.  So many of my original items will be up-for-sale this Saturday,  Aug 1, 2015 !! This is only one example

Picture quality not the best,  but this necklace I made out of left-over abalone shells.   In person the colors are really vibrant. ( greens & blues)

 

 

 

 

Lots of other odds & ends for SALE in just two days.  My Fundraiser campaign is still continuing
www.giveforward.com (Transportation Golf Cart) and ends middle October.   So,  still time to make YOUR contribution.    By this Christmas,  I will be driving my new Golf cart !!!   Going up-the-hill and lots "MORE" places,  like CHRISTMAS shopping. ........................................:)


 Maybe there is "stuff" in you closets, garage or whatever you'd like to sell,  Take a chance,  it is "SO " much fun.  Folks who stop by are fabulously friendly,  that's the BEST !!!  Do yourself a favor,  get acquainted  with your "community" .

The entire time I have been rejoicing about this "great"  "LIFE & LOVE"  of mine,  it looks like I had not yet discovered this new "whole" complete "ME" ( inside & out).  This morning in the bed even before I got up and in the shower,  while i was dressing, and during my "coffee time",  I was literally getting acquainted with "myself" on a level that amazed "Me".    After 75 yrs,  I thought I knew "ME".   Turns out,  there's some "new"things  (aspects about me)  I am discovering.  And it is _ very pleasant,  (believe it or not). 


This exchange at breakfast was the exact same thing,  as inviting and important guest, relaxed and then continuing to ask questions to "learn" more about them.   It came as a complete surprise,  but one that I am  "happy and so very comfortable"  with.   Well,  who knew ? 


So as I have said often in my blogs,  "the mystery continues to unfold".   It's a beautiful,  beautiful  experience,   this extraordinary thing called  "LIFE".    75 years old and it's brand new for me.   Become all you can "BE" .........   There's  MORE  in "YOU" & "ME"  ........  lots "MORE" to discover ,  love &  <"ENJOY">.    In every possible way,   physically,    financially,   mentally,   &  spiritually ,   "there's a "great deal more to "experience".   The complete picture is yet unfolding  for me,.......  it's how LIFE was meant to be for me !!!!   


Yesterday, I went shopping at Target's ( department store in Ventura, CA),  I bought a cute shirt, this morning I put it on, and then I read it, it says "HAMMOCK,  _SUNSHINE, _ NO PLANS, PERFECTION._"  on it.  I grinned from ear to ear.  _ "ALRIGHT"....   I'll drink to that !!!

"JOY",   that's it,   what a "THRILL" !!!     Get "linked" to IT  !!

Find a song today that "fills" you with "JOY"...

THE VERY THOUHT OF YOU, and I forget to do, the ordinary things that everyone ought to do,

I'm  living in a kind of daydream,   I'm happy as a king,   but foolish though it may seem, 

to me you're everything,  WOW,  that's powerful !
